Fly By Midnight have just finished the North American tour of their show “The Fastest Time Of Our Lives” and are now preparing to take a few days off for the holidays before heading back out on tour in Asia, Australia, the UK and Europe.
“This set is the most energy we’ve ever brought to a live production and every night it keeps getting crazier !”
SIMPLIFIED INSTALLATION AND EASY STAGING WITH LIOBOX²
For this world tour, the band fully integrated Ableton into their stage workflow. Without a dedicated playback tech, the drummer triggers the tracks directly on stage. The integration of the LIOBOX² went smoothly :
“We ran the Liobox through a Mio xm to a playaudio 1U and after setting up the initial ethernet connection in rehearsal it was as simple as plug and play the whole tour.”
Before this, the drummer used a bulky MIDI keyboard and a computer on stage. The LIOBOX² transformed this setup into a minimalist, reliable, and elegant system.
“The LIOBOX² has been such a great tool when organizing our on-stage set up. It’s allowed us to move our playback rig off stage while still being able to see and adjust exactly where we’re at in the set.”

KEEPING THE SHOW GOING WITH THE LIOBOX²
During the tour, the band encountered virtually no technical problems, with the exception of one concert interrupted by a power outage. As soon as the electricity was restored, the LIOBOX² allowed them to resume the concert without a hitch.
“We were really lucky to have practically zero technical difficulties on this run, but there was one that involved us having to cut the set to deal with a power issue and the LIOBOX² made falling back into the show seamless. Its dial really shines when you need to find a song in the setlist quickly, whether it be a show hiccup or soundcheck.”
