I am using Ableton 10/11 in "arrangement" mode exclusively. On tour, our setup is made up of 2 Mac mini, 2 RME Madiface XT, all with redundancy. 1 iconectivity Mio XL and 2 Mio XM, for sending midi to clarviers and our 3 liOBOX (drummer, keyboard and sequences operator).
Before, I used a pad, a real pain! Between the double hits and the loss of connection. There was no visibility, so I had to have a remote screen on stage, cables and converters.
My liOBOX is either on stage next to my MOOG, or in control room near the sequences operator.The advantage is visibility. Thanks to the screen, we know where we are and where we are going. As for the "setlist" mode, it's a real plus !! The buttons are ultra strong and safe (no double hits possible) Getting started is very simple, hyper intuitive operation !! "
