Do I need to install software to use the LIOBOX?
To use the LIOBOX, you just need to download the Ableton script, the link of which was sent to you with the order confirmation. Then drag it into the Ableton MIDI Remote Script folder. Refer to the documentation above.
I haven't downloaded the Ableton script. Where can I find it?
You can find the download link by scanning the QR code in the box or in your user account.
I loaded the script in the Ableton folder but it does not appear in the list of control surfaces in the Ableton preferences.
Check that you have used the script corresponding to your version of Ableton (9/10 or 11).
I loaded the script correctly in Ableton's MIDI preferences but the LIOBOX still displays a red cross.
Check that you have correctly assigned the input / output ports to port # 1 of the LIOBOX.
When I connect my LIOBOX to Ableton, I see two network ports (# 1 and # 2), what do they correspond to?
Port # 1 corresponds to the command port which allows the LIOBOX to communicate with Ableton.
Port # 2 is a second independent port which allows you to send midi signals such as program change, control change or notes to the midi minijack output of the LIOBOX.
Does the LIOBOX work with other software like Protools, Logic or QLab?
The compatibility with Protools and Logic Pro is available in beta, contact the support to get it before the official release, the compatibility will be extended to more software in spring 2023.
Can I connect several LIOBOX to the same computer (or several)?
You can connect multiple LIOBOXes to the same computer using either a USB HUB or a midi network. You will then have to declare each LIOBOX as a control surface in Ableton and assign them each the script.
The LIOBOX has only one USB, how to connect it to multiple computers?
You can either use a MIDI card or create a MIDI network between the two computers and share the LIOBOX over the network (contact Apple for more information).
SETLIST function
Does the setlist function require you to install a plugin on Ableton?
The setlist function is integrated into the LIOBOX and does not require the installation of a plugin or software.
Where are the setlists stored?
The setlists are stored in the internal memory of the LIOBOX.
Can I export and save a setlist on my computer?
The export and external backup of the setlists will be carried out using the LIOBOX update software. This software is in the process of being finalized and will be available for download in February.
When I use the LIOBOX, I see a MIDI signal coming out of Ableton.
The outgoing MIDI signal is the sync ping, sent every second which allows the LIOBOX to detect connection and disconnection with Ableton.
When I'm in setlist mode, the name of the next track sometimes turns red.
This means an interruption of the synchro ping due to the dropout of the midi signal. This can happen if you go through an independent midi card or if you put Ableton in the background and is independent of the operation of the LIOBOX. The next update will fix the faults of the third-party MIDI interfaces used.
Update
How do I update my LIOBOX?
Please refer to the technical documentation available on the support page of our website.
What do I need to do the upgrade?
To do this you need to download the GOOROO REFLASHER software and the .BIN update file from the support page of our site.
Does the software work with all versions of MAC OSX?
The software is compatible with OS versions up to Ventura.
The software displays an error message.
Refer to the technical documentation. Check that you do not have another DAW open.
I made the update and the PADs do not work anymore
After the upgrade from version 2.x to 3.x, the PADs assignment function has been added, so you have to select the functions in the PADs preferences menu.
